Manitoba RCMP are investigating a collision between a school bus and a tractor that sent eight children to hospital with minor injuries on Tuesday.
Emergency crews responded just after 9 a.m. in the RM of Grey to the intersection of Road 37 West and Road 43 North, where a school bus carrying 31 children rear-ended a tractor that was collecting debris pushed by a grader. The grader was not involved in the collision.
Eight students from the Prairie Spirit School Division were transported to hospital with minor injuries. Both the bus and tractor drivers were also taken to hospital as a precaution.
Alcohol is not considered a factor. Treherne RCMP and the Manitoba RCMP criminal collision investigative team are continuing the investigation.
