Three adults have been arrested following a police raid that uncovered a loaded handgun and cocaine in Winnipeg’s St. John’s neighbourhood.
Winnipeg police began investigating suspected drug and firearms trafficking in the area earlier this month. Officers executed a search warrant on May 22 at a residence in the 200 block of Church Avenue.
Officers arrested one man and two women. A loaded .45 calibre Norinco handgun with five rounds of ammunition, assorted additional ammo, and approximately 93 grams of cocaine — worth an estimated $9,300 — were seized. Investigators also recovered drug packaging materials, two scales, and three cellphones.
Preston Dakota Moore, 23, of Winnipeg, is facing multiple charges.
Two Winnipeg women, aged 27 and 28, also face charges and were released from custody pending court appearances.
