Winnipeg police have charged a fifth suspect in connection with the 2023 murder of Shelby Dawn Hayward.
On June 3, homicide investigators arrested 32-year-old Katrina Muswagon at the Winnipeg Remand Centre. She has been charged with first-degree murder and remains in custody.
Hayward, 30, was reported missing in November 2023 after last being seen near Polo Park. The case was later taken over by the homicide unit, which determined she had likely been killed.
Three other suspects — Tamara Moneyas, 24, Vincent Fontaine, 39, and Taylor Moose, 25 — were previously charged with first-degree murder. A fourth suspect identified during the investigation died before being charged.
Police continue to investigate.
