The Winnipeg Jets’ playoff run this season sparked more than team spirit — fans raised an impressive $234,890 through Whiteout Street Parties.

The funds will support four downtown organizations tackling homelessness, addiction, and mental health.

More than 35,000 fans attended seven Whiteout events, with proceeds from ticket sales directed to United Way Winnipeg. Additional contributions came from seven sold-out “Party in the Plaza” events at Hargrave St. Market.

Funds will benefit the Downtown Community Safety Partnership, N’Dinawemak-Our Relatives’ Place, Okichidah Pimahtisiwin Kiskinawmatowin (OPK), and Velma’s House.

“Jets fans are true believers in the best of Winnipeg. They show up for their city with unwavering support—through both the struggles and the successes,” said United Way Winnipeg president and CEO Connie Walker.

Since 2019, more than $546,000 has been raised through Jets playoff events to support vital community services in Winnipeg’s downtown.
