A series of drug-related arrests have been made by Winnipeg police following investigations in the Centennial and Daniel McIntyre neighbourhoods.

On June 23, officers executed a search warrant at a home in the 500 block of Elgin Avenue, seizing cocaine and crack cocaine worth approximately $1,200, BB guns, cash, and drug paraphernalia. A 37-year-old man and three women, aged 31, 37, and 42, were charged with drug trafficking and released on undertakings.

A week later, on June 30, officers stopped a vehicle near McGee Street and Wellington Avenue. The driver, 26-year-old Tyler Jordan Sawatsky, allegedly tried to flee and discarded a bag of cocaine during his arrest. Police seized five grams of cocaine, over $1,100 in cash, and cell phones. Sawatsky was charged with drug trafficking and remains in custody.

Police say investigations into community drug concerns are ongoing.
