The 7th annual Winnipeg Tattoo Convention kicks off Friday, August 8 at Red River Exhibition Place, featuring more than 270 local, North American, and international tattoo artists.
Running through August 10, the event offers live tattooing, a covered outdoor market, food trucks, beer gardens, live music, and art for sale. Attendees can pre-book with artists or get walk-up tattoos during the convention.
“This convention is focused on bringing in world-renowned talent and showcasing incredible tattooing,” said event coordinator Rich Handford, who is a Winnipeg tattoo artist and owner of Kapala Tattoo.
“This is a chance for Manitoba tattoo collectors to get tattooed by world-class artists they would have otherwise had to travel to.”
