A 27-year-old man reported missing from Shoal Lake has been found dead in Keeseekoowenin First Nation.
Manitoba RCMP say the man was last seen in the community on the night of August 6, when local security attempted to stop a vehicle he was driving. The vehicle fled but was later found abandoned near the community lagoon.
On August 7 at 8:40 p.m., Sandy Lake search and rescue located the man’s body in the lagoon.
Police say foul play is not suspected, and the investigation is ongoing.
