Winnipeg police are investigating after All Saints’ Anglican Church on Broadway was broken into overnight July 29–30.
Police say suspects smashed a stained-glass window with a rock to gain entry, causing more than $3,000 in damage. Several unique communion plates and cups made of silver and pewter were stolen. Investigators note the items are marked with religious symbols and lettering, making them easily identifiable.
The major crimes unit is leading the investigation and is asking anyone with information about the break-in or stolen property to contact police at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at (204) 786-TIPS.
