Winnipeg firefighters responded to two structure fires early Tuesday morning, with no injuries reported.
The first blaze broke out around 12:39 a.m. in a vacant warehouse on Archibald Street. Crews launched a defensive attack using an aerial ladder and handlines, bringing the fire under control within an hour. The building, previously damaged by fires in May 2025 and November 2023, sustained further damage. The cause remains under investigation.
At 4:56 a.m., firefighters were called to a single-storey office building on Main Street, where smoke was seen coming from the structure. Crews conducted an interior attack and declared the fire out by 5:36 a.m. A search confirmed no occupants were inside.
The Main Street location is the constituency office of Families Minister Nahanni Fontaine, which also had its windows smashed earlier this month.
Damage estimates for both fires are pending, and investigators continue to look into the causes.
