Winnipeg Transit riders will soon have more time to complete their trips.

Starting Monday, October 6, transfers will be valid for 90 minutes, up from the current 75 minutes.

The change comes in response to passenger feedback following the launch of the city’s new transit network.

“Extending the transfer window is one more step in a series of improvements to make the system more convenient and reliable for Winnipeggers,” said Mayor Scott Gillingham, in a release.

Transfers are issued when riders pay their fare and remain valid on all regular bus routes, including On-Request service, until expiry.
