Winnipeg police have arrested a man in connection with a hit-and-run that injured a man in a McPhillips Street hotel parking lot in early August.
Police say the incident happened around 3 a.m. on August 3, when two men who did not know each other got into an argument in the parking lot of a hotel in the 1000 block of McPhillips Street. As the victim walked away, he was hit by the suspect’s vehicle, then struck a second time before the driver fled. The victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital in stable condition.
Following an investigation, officers arrested the suspect on October 9.
The 51-year-old man faces charges of assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm, and uttering threats. He was released on an appearance notice.
