Manitoba RCMP say a routine traffic stop led to a major drug seizure after a vehicle failed to slow down and move over for an officer on Highway 1 west of Brandon.
Mounties pulled the vehicle over around at 3:20 p.m. on December 6, and an investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver and her passenger. A search of the vehicle turned up three kilograms of crystal meth, 500 grams of crack cocaine, 500 grams of cocaine, and Canadian cash.
Meaghan Hermans, 28, of Camrose, Alberta, and Jonathon Anaquod, 32, of Melville, Saskatchewan, are charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. Both were remanded into custody.
RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
