The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to two separate structure fires early Friday morning, displacing residents and sending one person to hospital.

Crews were called just after 1 a.m. to a house fire in the 400 block of Alexander Avenue. Firefighters initially attacked the blaze from outside before entering the home once conditions were safe. The fire was declared under control shortly after 2 a.m. No injuries were reported, and emergency social services assisted displaced residents.
