An 18-year-old Winnipeg man has been arrested following an investigation into the alleged online luring and sexual assault of two teenagers.
Police say the accused contacted two teens through social media between August and September 2025, using online aliases including “Winnipeg Stunna,” “wpgstunna,” “AJ”, and “Ajay.” After weeks of communication, one teenage girl agreed to meet him at his residence on September 14, where police allege she was sexually assaulted.
Officers arrested the suspect on September 28 and charged him with sexual assault, sexual interference, and luring a person under 14. He was released on conditions restricting his use of electronic devices and social media.
Investigators later determined the accused breached those conditions by accessing social media on November 7. A forensic review of his phone also led police to identify a second teen who was allegedly lured and sexually assaulted during the same time period.
Alvin “AJ” Richard was arrested again on December 3 and now faces additional charges, including multiple counts of failing to comply with a release order. He remains in custody.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and encourage anyone with information to contact the Child Abuse Unit at (204) 986-3296 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at (204) 786-TIPS.
