Winnipeg police arrested a 32-year-old man after he allegedly livestreamed himself holding a firearm and making threats toward the public on Wednesday.

Police say they were alerted around 2 p.m. to an online video showing a man waving a firearm while issuing threats. The investigation led officers to a residence in the 1300 block of McDermot Avenue West, where they believed the video originated.

Shortly after 4 p.m., officers located and arrested Devon Daniel James Ross inside the residence.
