Two people are facing charges after RCMP recovered a large amount of stolen property during an investigation into thefts near Brandon.
Police said they received a report on November 3, 2025, that construction equipment had been stolen from a property north of Brandon. The victim reported that the thefts occurred between the evening of October 31 and the morning of November 1 in an area near Provincial Road 270 and Highway 1.
Among the missing items were a skid steer, a cargo trailer, and other construction equipment. The investigation led officers to a residential property near PR 270 and Road 87 West, where the stolen skid steer was located and a man and woman were arrested without incident.
Officers searched the property and recovered numerous additional stolen items, including a snowmobile, utility trailer, boat and trailer, construction signs, and a golf cart.
RCMP estimate the total value of the recovered property at approximately $150,000 and believe the items were stolen from locations across the Brandon and Westman area as far back as 2021.
Gary Dyck, 45, and Jeanine Emond, 42, both of the RM of North Cypress-Langford, have been charged with 11 counts each of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Both were remanded into custody.
Police say efforts are underway to return the recovered property to its rightful owners, and the investigation remains ongoing.
