Six people are in custody after RCMP responded to a weapons call at a Pinaymootang First Nation gas bar last Friday.
Gypsumville RCMP were notified on April 24 at 8:45 p.m. that occupants of a vehicle had pointed a firearm at a victim while driving before parking at the gas bar. Officers arrived and conducted a traffic stop, arresting all six occupants — a male driver, a female passenger, and four male passengers.
A search of the vehicle turned up a loaded 9mm handgun, additional ammunition, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and Canadian currency.
Anthony Timmerman, 20, of the RM of West St. Paul, and Kara Williams-Thomas, 28, of Manigotagan, face multiple charges. The four remaining passengers — an 18-year-old from Black River and three Winnipeg men aged 14, 16, and 20 — are also facing charges.
All six have been remanded into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
