
Tyrel Bauer (JONATHAN KOZUB / MANITOBA MOOSE)
The Winnipeg Jets have agreed to terms with defenceman Tyrel Bauer on a two-year contract carrying an average annual value of $875,000 USD.
The deal is a two-way contract for the 2026-27 season and becomes a one-way contract in 2027-28.
Bauer, 24, had five points (one goal, four assists) and 110 penalty minutes in 52 AHL games for the Manitoba Moose last season. The Cochrane, Alta., native played all seven playoff games for the Moose and picked up six penalty minutes.
In May, Bauer was presented with the 2025-26 Yanick Dupré Memorial Award as the AHL’s Man of the Year.
