Police were in the area near McPhillips Street and Pritchard Avenue at 3:45 p.m. on Monday when they observed a taxi pass by with occupants wearing ski masks covering their faces and not wearing seatbelts.
Officers stopped the vehicle and, while speaking with one of the passengers, observed what appeared to be the outline of a firearm inside a satchel. All three people were arrested in connection with a firearms investigation.
Police seized a sawed-off .22 calibre rifle and ammunition, a shotgun shell, and 0.52 grams of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $30.
Karl Albert Henry Junior Boulanger, 21, has been charged with multiple offences and remains in custody.
