A Winnipeg woman has been charged following a police investigation into long-term harassment, threats and intimidation involving multiple victims.

Police began investigating in July 2026 after receiving a report from one of the victims. Eleven victims were eventually identified, including family members, former acquaintances, co-workers, members of the media and legal professionals.

Police say between 2011 and 2026, hundreds of phone calls, emails, text messages and letters were sent to the victims. On other occasions, the accused randomly attended locations associated with the victims, leaving gifts or attempting to speak with them. The duration of contact varied by victim, ranging from several months to more than a decade.

On September 3, police executed a search warrant in the 400 block of Stradbrook Avenue, taking a woman into custody and seizing electronic devices as evidence.

The 58-year-old woman has been charged with seven counts of criminal harassment, two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, break and enter with intent to commit theft, attempt to obstruct justice, intimidation of a justice system participant, publishing defamatory libel known to be false, and public mischief.

She remains in custody. Anyone with further information or wishing to speak to an investigator is asked to call Sgt. Webb at (204) 986-6172.
