What personal data we collect and why we collect it

For each visitor to our Web page, our web server automatically recognizes only the consumer’s domain name, but not the e-mail address (where possible).

We collect the e-mail addresses of those who post messages to our posts, the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, user-specific information on what pages consumers access or visit, information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.

The information we collect is used for internal review and is then discarded.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

In some instances, media uploaded to our website may be embedded with location data (EXIF GPS) from its original source.

Contact forms

When you fill out our contact form to get in touch with us, we will receive your name, email address and any other personal information you provide. These details will be handled to correspond with you in the future in regards to your inquiry, but only for that sole purpose.

If participating in a contest or prize giveaway, the information you fill out in a contact form will be used to communicate with you in the event you win a prize. You also have the option of joining our email list at the time.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
