WINNIPEG — A staple of Assiniboine Park will close for good in the spring.
The Conservatory’s closure will make way for the third and final phase of Canada’s Diversity Gardens, a $75 million project scheduled to open in late 2019.

WINNIPEG — Cyclists can now tune up their rides in Assiniboine Park with the installation of a new bike maintenance station.
Located between the Lyric Theatre and the Riley Family Duck Pond, the station includes an air pump, Allen wrenches, Philips and flat head screwdrivers, a pedal wrench, headset wrench, box wrenches, and tire levers.

The Royal Winnipeg Ballet (RWB) will kick off their 78th season with three free performances at Assiniboine Park later this month.
The Ballet In The Park performances will start nightly at 7:30 p.m. at the Lyric Theatre stage July 26-28.
A full lineup of music, movies and art exhibitions are planned this summer at Assiniboine Park.
The concert series kicks off June 22 with the Winnipeg Pops Orchestra before Symphony in the Park with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra on July 5.
About 80 kids will be running through Assiniboine Park on Saturday, solving clues and participating in fun challenges.
The fifth annual Race for Kids is an event put on by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Winnipeg. It raises funds for the many programs offered by the organization.
Recipients of the 10th annual Manitoba Communicator of the Year Awards include representation from Assiniboine Park Conservancy, Winnipeg Harvest and Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries.
The Canadian Public Relations Society unveiled the award winners on Tuesday.
