Reporter Loses Temper on Live Television

By Brian Schultz

Knoxville, TN reporter Gordon Boyd of WVLT should perhaps consider taking a breather after flubbing a line instead of losing it on air.

The reaction of the anchor back in the studio is priceless.

U.S. Weatherman Freaks Out Over Weekend Storm

A powerful snow storm hammered parts of the U.S. over the weekend, with Washington, D.C. taking the brunt of it. The thought of “14 to 22 inches of snow” — dubbed ‘Snowmageddon’ — was too much for this AccuWeather.com weatherman to handle.

CBC to Aarti Pole: Just Sit There and Wait

CBC News Winnipeg didn’t quite start the way it normally does on Tuesday. Reporter Aarti Pole appeared at 5 p.m. to go live on a story a few moments later, but was already live right off the bat for nearly an entire minute.

CBC then cut to its local Saskatchewan feed, before going back again to Aarti.

If you listen closely, you can hear someone in the background say, “Are we on the air?”

Yep, you’re on the air!

Toronto Newspaper Runs Photo of Man’s Goods

Toronto Newspaper Runs Photo of Man’s Goods

Toronto Metro SplashersToronto’s Metro newspaper is coming under intense fire after running a full frontal photo of a man’s genitals on page 12 of Monday’s issue. The photo was snapped by a photographer with The Canadian Press and showed a group of people having a splash in a hot tub as part of the Santa Claus Parade in Peterborough, Ontario this past Saturday.

Unfortunately, the man’s… um… ‘junk’ fell out for millions to see.

For obvious reasons, we had to censor the actual photo to the right (click to enlarge, no pun intended).

Good thing the hot tub wasn’t filled with cold water. That would have been really unfortunate.

The Metro didn’t get back to us for comment.

Beam Me Up, Global

Beam Me Up, Global

No, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you. That’s just Global TV’s Peter Chura and Eva Kovacs being beamed in via hologram to bring you Wednesday evening’s news.

Global TV Hologram

All joking aside, Peter and Eva were actually in the studio. The camera experienced iris trouble against the CG background.

Down, Boy! Mutt Accosts News Anchor

This is literally live TV at its best! Global BC noon anchor Randene Neill got more than she expected from a dog looking to get adopted.

It all went down Tuesday afternoon during a segment with British Columbia’s SPCA. The dog — whose name is Ginger — didn’t even buy her a drink first. What nerve.

CBC Has Some Audio Issues

…And they held up a press conference because of it.

That’s CBC reporter Lyndsay Duncombe trying to get her shotgun mic to stand up at the Aerosmith press conference on Thursday, after walking behind the promoter. Next time she should bring one of these.

Although, not to rag on Lyndsay too much, she did ask a good question at the end in regards to the show possibly being at the end of September. This is Winnipeg after all, and an outdoor concert at that time may not be too appealing, as you never know when the snow will decide to fall.

Organizers eventually announced the show would be postponed until a later date.
