Motkaluk’s Property Tax Plan Holds the Line at 1.16% Annually

WINNIPEG — Mayoral candidate Jenny Motkaluk has unveiled her campaign’s property tax plan, promising to cap rates at 1.16 percent annually for four years.

During an announcement Thursday at her campaign headquarters, Motkaluk says her plan would protect homeowners against drastic rate increases.

WINNIPEG — Mayoral candidate Jenny Motkaluk would ensure the city rebuilds the aging Louise Bridge if she wins office.

During a campaign announcement Tuesday near the bridge, Motkaluk said the bridge often requires frequent maintenance and is closed to traffic, causing delays and backlogs on nearby streets.

WINNIPEG — Mayoral candidate Jenny Motkaluk is calling for a makeover of the city’s 311 customer service centre.

In her latest pitch to voters, the business consultant said, if elected, she would modify the 311 system to route citizen’s requests directly to the appropriate department and ensure a live human is on the other end.

Mayoral candidate Jenny Motkaluk announced today a plan to create a system for dealing with people who are detained for being publicly intoxicated on meth, developed in consultation with police, firemen, paramedics, and Main Street Project Staff.

Her proposal would enable first responders to manage someone who is high on meth in a similar way as they handle someone who is drunk on alcohol.
