- Akismet and Jetpack (Automattic): Akismet checks comments for spam. Jetpack provides our image delivery network (CDN) and site downtime monitoring.
- Cloudflare: Helps deliver and protect our site, and processes visitor traffic to do so.
- Social sharing buttons (AddToAny): Buttons on our pages let you share stories to social platforms. If you click one, that platform may collect information according to its own privacy policy.
- Embedded content: Articles may include content from other websites, such as videos or social posts. Those sites may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with the content, including if you are logged in to that site.

Some articles may contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Where Your Information Is Stored

How Long We Keep Information
We keep comments, form submissions and email list information for as long as needed for the purposes described above, or until you ask us to remove it, unless we are required to keep it for administrative, legal or security reasons. Analytics data is kept according to our retention settings in Google Analytics.

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and the security measures of our hosting provider, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your Rights and Choices
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent to our use of it, or ask us to delete it.
