Two Injured When Car and Dump Truck Collide in Winnipeg

Winnipeg Police CrestTwo people were sent to hospital early Thursday when a sedan and a dump truck collided at the intersection of Grant Avenue and Elmhurst Road.

Winnipeg police say the crash happened at around 12:35 a.m., sending a man and his female passenger to hospital. One person was originally listed in critical condition, while the other was said to be unstable. Police say both have since been upgraded to stable condition.

People in Osborne Village area were told to seek immediate shelter Sunday night when audio of an imminent nuclear attack was broadcast over a loud speaker.

Police responded to the area at around 9:20 p.m. and the audio ended.

Police say the patrol unit was travelling southbound on Main Street responding to a high-priority call at around 1:05 p.m. when it was involved in a collision with a vehicle in the area of Polson Avenue. The cruiser then hit a nearby building.
