Officers Assaulted in Incidents Involving Knives, a Bat and Drunk Driver

Winnipeg Police Logo CrestSeveral Winnipeg police officers were assaulted over the weekend in a series of incidents that saw multiple people taken into custody.

Officers were first called Saturday to the 300 block of Wellington Crescent for a man carrying multiple large knives. While trying to disarm the man, police say the suspect armed himself with a 13-inch knife and threatened to stab and kill officers.
