Minimum wage workers will see a slight boost to their wallets beginning October 1.

The Manitoba government is raising the minimum wage by 50 cents to $10 per hour.

Labour and Immigration Minister Jennifer Howard said Thursday the increase is a way of strengthening the purchasing power of minimum wage earners across the province.

Minimum wage increased by 50 cents last October 1 to $9.50 per hour.
