The classic performance of “Shirley Valentine” is returning to the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre in January for a nearly month-long run.
Featuring the same actress, stage manager and costume designer as when it originally debuted at MTC in 1992, the award-winning play will run January 5 to 28, 2012.
Actress Nicola Cavendish portrays Shirley Valentine — a role she’s assumed for more than 600 performances in this play about a neglected housewife who jumps at the chance to escape her “unused life.”
