If you forgot about the bus fare increase effective today, prepare to dig deeper into your pocket for change.
As previously reported, Winnipeg Transit’s proposed fare hike — which city council has since approved — is now in effect, raising cash fares for full and Handi-Transit riders to $2.45. Senior cash fares go up to $1.95.
2011 bus tickets plus the cash difference will be accepted until Saturday, March 31, 2012.
