The 30-day campaign to raise $1 million for Assiniboine Park has reached 50% of its goal.

The public leg of the Imagine a Place campaign has brought in $512,480, including matched funds. The challenge began on June 1 and will be matched by two anonymous donors, dollar-for-dollar, up to $500,000 for a month-long total of $1 million.

“We continue to be amazed everyday by the generosity Manitobans are showing towards Assiniboine Park,” said Margaret Redmond, president and CEO of the Assiniboine Park Conservancy. “We still need a big push to reach our million dollar goal so we’re asking the community to continue their support this month to take full advantage of the matching dollars.”

Donations can be made at ImagineAPlace.ca or by calling (204) 927-8080.
