It’s business as usual at the 2012 Power Smart Manitoba Summer Games after the town of Swan River declared a state of local emergency Wednesday evening.

The emergency was declared due to a potential lift station failure and severe weather warnings.

Organizers say emergency marshaling and evacuation plan was reviewed and communicated to all games staff and lead volunteers. More than 800 athletes, coaches, managers, and officials are in Swan River for the games, which began July 15 and wrap up on Sunday.
