An educator at the Manitoba Museum has been named a fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.

Mike Jensen was named one of the society’s newest fellows during its annual general meeting in Ottawa earlier this week. Overall, 123 Canadians were nominated to join the College.

“It’s a great thrill to be asked to join the College of Fellows for the Royal Canadian Geographical Society,” Jensen said. “I look forward to helping promote their mandate.”

The Royal Canadian Geographical Society participates in a ongoing variety of educational initiatives, publishing projects, research and expeditions, as well as a speakers series.
