A portion of the riverwalk along the Red River near The Forks is closed due to flooding.

Parks Canada says the walkway will remain closed to the public until further notice.

The part of the riverwalk that will be affected by the closure begins just north of the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers and ends at the amphitheatre.

Winnipeg received between 50-70 mm of rain over the long weekend.
