Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries has signed on as a legacy partner of the 2017 Canada Summer Games.
The Crown corporation is contributing $1.2 million to make it the Games’ largest partner outside of their funding parties.
“Their ongoing support of youth sport programs in our city and province, and in particular of the 2017 Canada Summer Games, shows a remarkable commitment to helping athletes reach their fullest potential,” said Jeff Hnatiuk, president and CEO of the 2017 Canada Summer Games host society.
The announcement was made Thursday morning during a breakfast with business and community leaders at the Metropolitan Entertainment Centre.
