Manitoba’s NDP tackled infrastructure during a campaign announcement on Wednesday.
Leader Greg Selinger said his party would finish an inner ring road, which is currently set to be completed in 2031.
Selinger said the NDP would fast track the process, starting with Chief Peguis Trail, and share costs 50/50 with the federal government. Selinger said the road would integrate with Lagimodiere, Bishop Grandin and a widened Kenaston/Route 90 to form a complete inner ring road.
Funding for the project would come from the NDP’s $10-billion core infrastructure plan, Selinger added.
