Canadian national soccer star Desiree Scott will be the guest speaker at the first annual Bison Women’s Soccer Scholarship Fundraising and Awards Dinner later this month.
The Winnipeg-born Olympic medallist will lend her experience to the podium on May 23 as the University of Manitoba Bisons fundraise for future scholarship opportunities.
Local soccer supporters and young female players will get the chance to learn more about the Bison women’s soccer program and why it’s so valuable in shaping student-athletes on and off the field.
Individual early bird tickets are $150, or $175 after May 9. The event will be held at Canad Inns Fort Garry beginning at 5 p.m. Cocktails start at 4 p.m.
