WINNIPEG — Shaw Park is the chosen venue to host several baseball games during the 2017 Canada Summer Games.
The downtown stadium will host two games per day on July 31, August 1, August 3, as well as the bronze and gold medal games on August 4.
“We are excited to host the baseball competitions at the home of the Winnipeg Goldeyes, and are fortunate to have formed relationships with existing first-class venues that will help us to deliver an exceptional athlete, team, and visitor experience,” said Jeff Hnatiuk, president and CEO of the 2017 Canada Summer Games Host Society.
The 2017 Canada Summer Games take place in Winnipeg from July 28 through August 13. The Games feature 16 sports, more than 250 events, and a major cultural festival.
