Canad Inns Winter Wonderland runs November 29 to January 4, 2020. (HANDOUT)
An annual holiday tradition is celebrating 20 years in Winnipeg.
Canad Inns Winter Wonderland will shine brightly for the season beginning Friday at 6 p.m. at Red River Exhibition Park.
Visitors can stay warm in the comfort of their own vehicles and drive through 2.5 kilometres of holiday magic, featuring more than one million lights in 26 different theme areas.
“We have been proud to host Canad Inns Winter Wonderland as a unique holiday tradition in our community for the past 20 years,” said Garth Rogerson, Red River Exhibition CEO.
“Providing great value is something we strive to do all year long, so when we can celebrate the holidays at Red River Exhibition Park, provide a good deal for families and give back to great charities all at the same time — we’ve hit the holiday jackpot.”
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to KidSport Manitoba and the Red River Exhibition Foundation. To date, Canad Inns Winter Wonderland has donated more $315,000 to Manitoba charities.
Tickets are $15 in advance per vehicle (up to seven people) at any Canad Inns Winnipeg location, Circle K (formerly Mac’s) or Giant Tiger. Tickets at the gate are $20 per vehicle.
The lights will be on nightly from 6-10 p.m. beginning November 29 until Saturday, January 4. The park is closed on Christmas Day.
Special theme nights and other activities are planned throughout the season. For a complete list, visit redriverex.com/canad-inns-winter-wonderland.
