WINNIPEG — There’s now an easier way to apply for and renew accessible parking permits in Manitoba.
Manitoba Possible, formerly the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities, has launched a new, online process to carry out the tasks, including replacing a parking permit.
“Manitoba Possible is thrilled to be keeping up with the times and launching a simplified way for Manitobans and healthcare providers to be able to apply and renew accessible parking permits online,” said Monique Constant, director, provincial services (adults).
“This will be a simple and efficient process that will eliminate the need to drive to our office to renew or apply for a permit if one chooses so.”
The program provides both temporary and permanent permits to Manitobans who have difficulty walking more than 50 metres without the use of a mobility aid.
