Winnipeg has been selected as the host city for the 2025 Masters Championship, part of Canada Soccer’s National Championships, to be held in the first weekend of October.
The event will showcase the top over-age men’s and women’s amateur soccer teams from across the country.
This marks the first time the Masters Championship will be held in one venue, bringing together men aged 35 and older and women aged 30 and older for the national competition. Previous Masters Championships have been divided into regional events.
“The Manitoba Soccer Association is very pleased and excited to be the next host of the Masters Championships,” the MSA said in a statement.
“We know there is a strong tradition of this competition having been a past host of the event, and we will do our best to keep that tradition going. We look forward to putting together a great competition and welcoming the participants and fans to Friendly Manitoba.
Following the Masters Championship, Canada Soccer’s National Championships will continue the following week, featuring men’s and women’s premier adult competitions, as well as U-15 and U-17 Cup divisions across six divisions in three venues.
