The Winnipeg Sea Bears are giving displaced families from Northern Manitoba a full-court shot at joy this Father’s Day.

The team is donating 800 tickets to wildfire evacuees for their June 15 matchup against the Saskatchewan Rattlers.

In partnership with the Canadian Red Cross, True North Sports + Entertainment, and the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs, the initiative aims to bring some much-needed relief and connection to wildfire evacuees.

“Basketball has a unique way of bringing people together, and we hope this small gesture offers evacuees a bit of comfort and fun during a challenging time,” said Sea Bears president Jason Smith.

Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. at Canada Life Centre. Tickets are available at seabears.ca.
