Next year’s Folklorama Festival is scheduled for August 2-15, 2026. (HANDOUT)
Folklorama has wrapped up another successful season, attracting 361,703 visits to 43 cultural pavilions across Winnipeg during its two-week festival.
Audiences enjoyed 915 performances along with late-night parties that celebrated music, dance, and international flavours.
Volunteers played a key role, contributing nearly 87,000 hours across 14,485 shifts.
“People are the heart of our Festival,” said Folklorama executive director Teresa Cotroneo, in a release. “From pavilion coordinators to culinary teams, thousands of volunteers make each visit unique and memorable. We are so grateful to each and every one of them.”
This year’s festival also featured two new pavilions and expanded VIP cultural tours, including wine, beer, and zero-proof experiences.
Organizers are already planning for Folklorama’s 55th anniversary next year, which will run from August 2–15, 2026.
