Winnipeg families will be able to cool off a little longer this summer, as the city has extended spray pad season by one week.
Most spray pads will now remain open until Sunday, September 7, 2025, with the exception of Boyd Park and Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre, which will close on September 1.
Most wading pools will close on August 22, though some will stay open until August 31. Central Park, Dakota Park, McKittrick Park and St. John’s Park will remain open through September 1.
Outdoor pools at Freight House, Kildonan Park, St. Vital, Transcona Aquatic Park and Westdale will also operate until September 1, while unheated pools at Fort Garry Lions, Provencher and Windsor Park will close on August 29.
