Curbside yard waste pickup in Winnipeg is wrapping up for the season.
Collection in Area A will finish the week of October 27 to 31, while Area B will end the week of November 3 to 7. Residents can check which area they’re in by visiting winnipeg.ca/collectionday or contacting 311.
The city is reminding residents that waste should be placed in reusable containers without lids, cardboard boxes, or paper yard waste bags. Halloween pumpkins are also accepted, provided candles and decorations are removed.
Containers should be set beside recycling and garbage carts with space in between. Yard waste can also be dropped off at the city’s 4R Winnipeg Depots at 1825 Brady Road, 1120 Pacific Avenue or 429 Panet Road.
The city reminds residents not to rake leaves or debris onto streets, as it can block drains and cause flooding.
