Winnipeg’s winter route parking ban will take effect next Wednesday, December 3, the city announced.
Once in place, parking is prohibited daily from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. on all designated winter route and snow route streets. The ban is in effect every night until further notice, regardless of snowfall or recent plowing.
Residents can check whether the ban applies to a specific location using the Know Your Zone app, the online snow map, the address lookup tool, or by contacting 311.
Vehicles parked in violation may be ticketed $100 ($75 if paid early) and towed at the owner’s expense. The ban is expected to remain in place until spring 2026.
