The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed veteran right guard Pat Neufeld to a one-year contract extension for the 2026 season.
Neufeld was set to become a free agent in February. The 36-year-old will return for his 12th season with the Blue Bombers and his 15th in the CFL.
A three-time CFL all-star, Neufeld started all 18 regular-season games and the Eastern Semi-Final last season. He was a key part of an offensive line that helped running back Brady Oliveira record his fourth straight 1,000-yard season, with Winnipeg finishing second in the league in rushing yards per game.
Originally drafted by Saskatchewan in 2010, Neufeld joined the Blue Bombers in 2013 and has since played 149 games with the club. He has appeared in 186 CFL games overall and has made Winnipeg his home.
Off the field, Neufeld has been recognized with the Blue Bombers’ Cal Murphy “Heart of a Legend Award” in 2021 and the Ed Kotowich “Good Guy Award” in 2023.
In a separate announcement on Sunday, the Blue Bombers also announced they have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with American defensive back Michael Griffin II.
