Jake Ceresna (JOHANY JUTRAS / CFL.CA)
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed All-CFL defensive lineman Jake Ceresna to a two-year contract after acquiring his rights from the Edmonton Elks.
Ceresna joins Winnipeg following a 2025 season in Edmonton that was shortened by injury. He appeared in 11 games, recording 16 defensive tackles, one sack, and one interception before his season ended at the Labour Day Classic.
The 31-year-old is a two-time All-CFL selection (2022, 2024) and a veteran of 102 regular-season CFL games. He was also part of the Toronto Argonauts’ 2024 Grey Cup championship team.
Ceresna began his CFL career with Ottawa in 2017 and has also spent time with Edmonton and Toronto. He first turned pro with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2016.
