The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed receiver Drew Wolitarsky to a one-day contract so he can officially retire as a member of the club.
Wolitarsky, 30, spent seven of his eight CFL seasons in Winnipeg from 2017 to 2024 and was part of the team’s Grey Cup championship runs in 2019 and 2021. He finished his career with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last season.
In 96 regular-season games with the Blue Bombers, Wolitarsky recorded 227 receptions for 2,954 yards and 18 touchdowns. His best campaign came in 2023, when he posted 47 catches for 668 yards and six touchdowns.
Born in Santa Clarita, California, Wolitarsky played college football at the University of Minnesota and was selected by Winnipeg in the 2017 CFL Supplemental Draft after qualifying as a national player through his Montreal-born mother.
