The UFC is making its return to Winnipeg for the first time in nearly nine years.
The world’s premier MMA promotion is set to host a one-night event at Canada Life Centre on April 18.
The UFC Fight Night welterweight contest will be headlined by Canadian fighter Mike Malott (13-2-1) and Brazil’s Gilbert Burns (22-9-0).
Weigh-ins and other UFC-related promotions will take place on April 17.
Winnipeg hasn’t hosted a UFC event since 2017, and before then, UFC 161 was held in our city in 2013.
Tickets go on sale Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. CT. Fans can register their interest online.
