Two well-known Winnipeg restaurant brands have teamed up to launch a new dual-concept dining space on Corydon Avenue.
Stella’s Café and Kevin’s Bistro opened the first shared location at 1100 Corydon Avenue on Wednesday, combining a daytime café with an evening bistro under one roof.
The concept allows the space to transition throughout the day, offering coffee, baked goods and light fare in the morning before shifting to a full-service bistro menu later on.
Company officials say the model reflects a growing trend in Manitoba’s restaurant industry toward flexible dining experiences while maintaining the identity of each brand.
“The opening of the new Stella and Kevin’s bistro concept highlights the strength of the independent restaurant scene in Manitoba,” said Shaun Jeffrey, executive director and CEO of Manitoba Restaurant and Food Services Association.
“Local restaurants are the backbone of our hospitality industry, creating jobs, supporting communities, and shaping the city’s unique dining culture.”
The new location will seat about 70 guests indoors, with space for an additional 40 on a covered patio, and is expected to create roughly 30 jobs.
Stella’s Café at 1100 Corydon Avenue will remain open, alongside its other Winnipeg locations.
